Police: Tobacco Store Robbed at Knifepoint

Two men allegedly robbed the Tobacco Store in Glen Burnie on Monday afternoon, according to a police press release.

Officers responded to the store, located in the 300 block of Crain Highway South, at about 3:10 p.m. Monday for a reported armed robbery.
Police spoke with a female employee who said two men entered the store, pulled a knife and demanded money. The suspects took cash and cigarettes from the store, as well as cash from the victim, before running out the front door in an undetermined direction, police said.

Officers, a K-9 unit and the aviation unit searched the area, but were unable to find the suspects, police said.
Glen Burnie: Robbery
Two men robbed a man as he walked on a dirt patch near Hospital Drive on Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie for a reported robbery, according to a press release.
The officers spoke with a 26-year-old man who said he was walking along the dirt path behind the 300 block of Hospital Drive when two men approached him and asked for a cigarette. The victim said the men proceeded to punch, kick and hit him with sticks before taking money from him and running toward Hidden Brook Apartments.
Officers searched the area but were unable to find the men, police said.
