Police Use Taser, Arrest Man on Drug Charges
Police arrested Maurice Purnell Dorsey, 31, of Glen Burnie on charges of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

Police used a Taser while apprehending a Glen Burnie man Monday night in Freetown and arrested him on drug charges.
Maurice Purnell Dorsey, 31, of the 8000 block of Solley Road was charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drugs—not marijuana, possession of drug paraphernlia, failure to obey reasonable lawful order and resisting arrest.
According to a police press release, officers were in the area of Coutros Court and Willie Johnson Lane in Freetown when they approached Dorsey, who they say was loitering. Dorsey allegedly ran and during the chase, officers used a Taser to subdue him, police said.

Police confiscated three oxycodone pills, a small bag of suspected heroin and seven small bags containing a total of 7.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
Dorsey was arrested and sent to the for treatment.
