POLL: What's Your New Year's Resolution?

Many people say they don't believe in making resolutions while others seize the opportunity better themselves.

Personally, I'm not typically one who makes New Year's "resolutions."

But this year I did decide to make a change once the new year arrives—I'm going to start eating healthy.

About two years ago I made a positive change in my eating habits and it helped me shed some of the pounds I had put on having a desk job where I worked erratic hours and rarely had time to cook.

So two years ago I made the decision to stop eating like I was in college and I saw positive results in my appearance. But then I started working for Patch—and in the midst of the erratic hours, the weight came back.

As I approach a milestone birthday in May and dream of a beach getaway, I decided to once again get my act together. Though I'm not calling it a resolution, since I'm realistic and waiting until Tuesday when all of the holidays are behind me to begin eating healthier.
