POLL: Would You Root for the Redskins?

Washington Post columnist Robert McCartney, a Redskins fan, said there's no way he's rooting for the Ravens in the playoffs.

I'll be honest, I'm not a big fan of football in general.

So while I enjoy and appreciate how excited everyone in this region is about the Ravens being in the playoffs, I haven't really gotten into it. (I can't help it. We didn't watch football in my house when I was growing up. We're a and family.)

I did, however, come across an article in the Washington Post by columnist Robert McCartney that caught my eye.

In the column, McCartney argues that no "self-respecting Redskins fan" should dare root for the Ravens. He lists some arguments about M&T Bank Stadium being better than FedEx Field and not wanting the Ravens to catch up to the Redskins in Super Bowl wins.

But he states plainly: "Ravens fans wouldn’t root for us if the roles were reversed. For one thing, Baltimore has a chip on its shoulder about Washington. Maybe it’s because we’re the Capital of the Free World, and they have a nice aquarium."

And it made me wonder—is McCartney right? What if the roles were reversed?

If it were the Redskins in the playoffs, would Ravens fans root for them? They do play in Maryland, after all.
