Q&A: Marley Elementary Student Javier Gomez
Javier Gomez, 10, recently was recognized as a Good Citizen in his fourth-grade class at Marley. Teachers select two students each month who are recognized for positive attitude, respectfulness and stellar behavior with their classmates and themselves.

Patch caught up with fourth-grader Javier Gomez, 10, on last week as he ate lunch with after being named a Good Citizen for the month of November.

Glen Burnie Patch: What is your favorite thing about school?
Javier: I like math. It's fun to do and easy to learn.

Javier: We learned how to divide. It was a little hard [to learn].
Glen Burnie Patch: What's your favorite thing to do when you're not at school?
Javier: I like to play video games—racing games and football games.

Glen Burnie Patch: Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?
Javier: A cop. Because you get guns and you get to take bad guys to jail with handcuffs.
Glen Burnie Patch: What do you like about being recognized as a Good Citizen?
Javier: It feels good because if you learn in school a lot, you get good grades.
