Q&A: North County High School Alum Courtney Hodges

Patch caught up with Courtney Hodges, 18, in May—who graduated from in June. The Ferndale resident was part of the school's science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) program.

Patch stopped her to ask .

Glen Burnie Patch: What are your plans after graduation?
Courtney Hodges: I'm going to Towson University to study exercise science. [I want to go into] physical therapy.

Patch: What extracurricular activities or sports are you involved in?
Courtney: I'm in SSA—the STEM student association. I'm the STEM ambassador. I do lacrosse and key club. 

Patch: What do you like about attending North County? Is there a memory that stands out?
Courtney: I enjoy the camaraderie and the school spirit. And .

Patch: Why did you choose to take part in the STEM program?
Courtney: I like the rigor and the hands-on classes that are presented to us. And it's definitely fulfilled everything that we thought it was going to be.

Patch: What do you do in your free time?
Courtney: Hang out with friends. Play sports, go to the movies and the mall. Just drive around.
