Questions Around Wagner's Attempted Donation

Two councilmen spoke with the Maryland Gazette about their issue with District 1 applicant Mike Wagner's attempt to donate money to Dick Ladd.

Two Anne Arundel County councilmen have expressed concerns over an attempt from District 1 applicant Mike Wagner to donate money to Dick Ladd at a fundraising breakfast, according to the Maryland Gazette.

Wagner—one of the two final applicants for the District 1 seat that caused the council to deadlock 3-3 Thursday night—attended a breakfast fundraiser for The Committee to Elect Dick Ladd on Wednesday and attempted to make a donation to the councilman, according to the Gazette. Ladd refused the donation, the Gazette reported.

Ten candidates made presentations to the council Thursday, but the list was narrowed to two—Peter Smith and Wagner—by the time voting became heated.
