Report: Officer Installed Bathroom Camera to Stop Students Smoking
The officer said the bathroom was known as a location where smoking took place, according to reports.

An investigative report reveals that the Anne Arundel County police officer who installed a camera in a bathroom at Glen Burnie High School was attempting to stop students from smoking, according to The Capital.
The police department immediately relieved the officer, Allen Marcus, of his duties to investigate when the camera was discovered on March 20, and he has since been reassigned to non-school duties.
Marcus told investigators that he had installed the camera earlier in the day it was discovered, in a bathroom where he claimed students smoke marijuana and cigarettes, reports The Capital.
On March 22, police announced that investigators seized several computers associated with the officer, but found no recordings or images on any of the computers.
On April 16, the police department announced that Marcus would not face criminal charges after it was determined that the device was not capable of recording any type of images and had no power source.
