Section of Cabin Branch Creek Shut Down After Wastewater Spill
County health officials are warning people to avoid contact with a section of the creek.

Health officials in Anne Arundel County are warning people to avoid contact with a section of Cabin Branch Creek in Brooklyn, after 15,000 gallons of wastewater spilled into the creek Wednesday afternoon.
The Department of Health is advising people to avoid the section running from Cedar Avenue in the Heritage Hill community to Cabin Branch until further notice, and the Department of Public Works has posted warning signs.
The spill occurred due to a line blockage near a manhole at the intersection of I-895 and I-97, according to a health department press release.
