Spots Open In Anne Arundel County Telephone Reassurance Program
The program checks in on residents daily who are age 55 and older, as well as adults age 18 and older with a disability, who are homebound.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — More spaces have opened up in Anne Arundel County's Telephone Reassurance Program, helping loved ones keep tabs on their relatives age 55 and older, or anyone 18 years or older with a disability, who are homebound and do not have anyone to check on them.
The county department of aging and disabilities administers the program, which relies on volunteers and staff members to contact individuals every morning. For more information and an application form, contact the Telephone Reassurance Program at 410-222-4375 or by email at caregiver_support@aacounty.org.
The department is consistently searching for volunteers to place phone calls to program participants one or more mornings per week. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, call (410) 222-6713. Volunteers must be 18 years or older to apply.
