Stranger Hit Woman In The Head, Ransacked Her Apartment: Police

A woman was struck from behind by a stranger when entering her apartment. The man ransacked her apartment and took off, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A woman was assaulted at her apartment complex Monday shortly before 9 p.m. Anne Arundel County police officers were called to the fire station located on Crain Highway, which is where the woman walked to after being hit in the head from behind by a man. The woman told police that she had removed items from her apartment located in the 400 block of Hiddenbrook Drive and put them in her parked vehicle. When she returned to her apartment, she was hit in the head, police say.

The man then forced his way into her apartment, ransacked it and took off. The woman suffered a minor head injury in the incident and was treated by personnel at the fire station, according to a police report. Officers searched the area but couldn't find the suspect.
