Suspect Stabs Victim During Robbery in Brooklyn Park

Victim is treated at Baltimore Washington Medical Center and released, police said.

A suspect stabbed a victim during a robbery in Brooklyn Park on Wednesday evening, police said.

According to a police, officers responded to the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park for a reported fight. Unable to find any victims or suspects, they went to Park Elementary to inquire about a person who had been stabbed.

Witnesses told police that the person was taken to (BWMC) for treatment.

Officers spoke with the victim at BWMC, who was one of two victims of a robbery. The victims told police they were approached by three male suspects who demanded money. The victims told the suspects they didn't have any money and a struggle ensued.

During the struggle, one victim was stabbed twice in the abdomen and the other victim was assaulted. The suspects fled the area. The suspects were able to take an undisclosed amount of cash from one of the victims.

The victim who was stabbed was treated at BWMC and released.
