THC Edibles, Illegal Drugs Uncovered In Separate Cases: Police
On Monday, two men in two separate cases were found with THC edibles, cash, illegal drugs and other items during traffic stops.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two men were arrested in Glen Burnie Monday in two separate incidents after both were found to be in possession of THC edibles among other illegal items. Shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, a Northern District officer saw a speeding vehicle heading toward him going in the wrong direction on Route 648 near 1st Avenue in Ferndale. The officer followed the vehicle, which crashed on the I-695 eastbound on-ramp at Route 648.
As the officer walked up to the vehicle, the driver attempted to take off on foot. Several officers responded and assisted with his arrest. The suspect appeared to be under the influence of drugs/alcohol, according to a police report from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, was taken to an area hospital for treatment then arrested and charged after he was released from the hospital. It was later discovered that the suspect, 25-year-old Trekwan Mulccas Trebor Woodard of Baltimore, had an open warrant. A search of the suspect and vehicle revealed the following:
- 19.2 grams suspected marijuana
- 309.05 grams of suspected THC edibles
- 0.29 grams of suspected crack cocaine
- $561 in cash
A few hours later on Monday, an Eastern District officer saw a car commit a traffic violation in the area of Veterans Highway at Brightview Drive in Millersville. The officer searched the vehicle and found suspected THC edibles, multiple packages of suspected CDS marijuana and $375 in cash. The suspect, 28-year-old Brandon Joe Sessoms of Glen Burnie, was arrested and charged.
