The Launch of New Features, Old Mill Names a New Idol and Myra Cason is Remembered
We look back at some of the stories from the week of Jan. 31 to Feb. 6.
This week was a busy one at Glen Burnie Patch with the launch of several new weekly features, the crowning of a new Old Mill Idol and coverage of a vigil held to remember a Glen Burnie shot to death in her car.
The Anne Arundel County Branch NAACP hosted a Monday for member Myra Cason, who was found dead in her Suzuki Sidekick Jan. 28 in Gavigan's Home Furnishings parking lot. The vigil drew hundreds of people who showed up to support the family of the retired Anne Arundel County teacher and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
Old Mill High School held it’s sixth Idol competition Friday, for his performance of the song “Fly Away,” written by his father.
