Glen Burnie:
A Fort Washington man is dead after police say speed and aggressive driving by another driver might have caused an accident Monday night on Route 100.

John Frederick Cornelius, 66, was taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore after the accident, where he later died of his injuries, police said.
According to a police press release, Zachary Adam Covington, 25, of Springfield, VA, was driving a 2005 BMW west on Route 100 in the turn lane for Quarterfield Road at about 7:10 p.m. Monday.

Police say Covington then cut off several drivers when he merged onto the second lane of Route 100 west and hit the left rear part of a 2008 Ford F-150 as the truck moved into the right lane. The BMW then hit the back of a 1991 Nissan Sentra being driven by Cornelius.
The collision caused the Sentra to leave the roadway and then roll over in the right lane as it came back onto Route 100.
Police say a preliminary investigation suggests that speed and aggressive driving by Covington were possible contributing factors to the accident. The incident remains under investigation.
Linthicum: Accident
A 28-year-old woman was hospitalized after her vehicle crashed into a telephone pole around 5:46 p.m. Monday at W. Nursery Road near River Road, according to Lt. Keith Hamilton, Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman.
She was taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Linthicum: Fire
A house fire at 204 Devon Court caused approximately $10,000 in damage Sunday, according to Capt. James Rostek, Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 4:51 p.m. Sunday and took about 20 minutes to control the fire. There was no one home at the time of the fire and no injuries. The fire was determined to be accidental, Rostek said.
Glen Burnie: Accident
A 25-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a car crash at Route 10 and Route 100 around 6:49 a.m. Sunday, according to Capt. James Rostek, Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman.
The man was taken to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

Glen Burnie: Robbery arrests
A Glen Burnie man and a Baltimore man were charged with robbery after police say they assaulted a woman in the 5800 block of Ritchie Street.
Police arrested and charged two men with robbery Friday night in Glen Burnie.
Thomas Obryant Burrus, 34, of Baltimore and Tyreen Joseph Moore, 34, of Glen Burnie both were charged with robbery and first- and second-degree assault.
According to a police press release, officers responded to the 5800 block of Ritchie Street in Glen Burnie at about 8:50 p.m. Friday for a reported robbery.
Once on the scene, officers spoke to a 26-year-old woman who said two men robbed her and ran east on Furnace Branch Road. The woman told police that one man said he was armed with a gun.
Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area, and located and arrested the two men.
Glen Burnie: Armed robbery
A man was robbed at gunpoint by two men on Friday, police said.
According to a police press release, officers responded to the 400 block of Pamela Road in Glen Burnie at about 7:20 p.m. Friday for a reported robbery.
Once on the scene, officers spoke with a man who said he was walking behind an apartment complex when two men approached him. One suspect hit the victim in the head with a handgun, causing him to fall on the ground, and the other man took an undisclosed amount of cash from his pockets. Both suspects ran from the scene.
The man suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention, police said. Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area but did not find the suspects.

Linthicum: Armed Robbery
Two teenage boys robbed three adults at gunpoint Thursday night in Linthicum, police said.
According to a police press release, officers responded to the Cromwell Shopping Center on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday for a reported robbery in the area of School Lane and Orchard Road in Linthicum.
Once on the scene, officers spoke to three adult victims who said they were in their vehicle at a stop sign on School Lane at Orchard Road when two teenage boys walked up to the car from either side. One teen walked up to the passenger side and pointed a gun at the passenger and demanded money while the second teen walked up to the driver's side of the vehicle.
The victim in the front passenger seat complied and gave the teens an undisclosed amount of cash before they ran from the scene heading south on Orchard Road.
Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area but were unable to locate the teens, police said.
