Volunteer at Homeless Resource Day in Glen Burnie
Volunteers are needed March 30-31 to help set up, clean up and for other duties throughout the day-long event at Glen Burnie High School.

Homeless Resource Day is a "one-stop shop" event, held at Glen Burnie High School as a way to help those who are homeless access services that generally are hard for them to receive.

Volunteers are needed on Friday and Saturday, March 30 and 31, to help with the setup and breakdown of the event, as well as during the event.
Here are the details, according to a press release from the Volunteer Center for Anne Arundel County:

- 4 p.m.–8 p.m., Friday, March 30, Resource Day Setup: Volunteers age 15 and older are needed to help with set up and receiving, sorting and the organization of donations and giveaways.
- 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 31, Resource Day: Volunteers age 18 and older are needed, in shifts, to provide guidance to those attending, assist service providers, and help with distribution of donations. A 1.5-hour training session is required for all Saturday volunteers.
- 4 p.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, March 31, Resource Day Takedown: Volunteers age 15 and older are needed to help with take-down activities, such as folding and stacking of tables, cleanup, etc.
Homeless Resource Day will provide access to benefits, medical care, substance abuse resources, mental health counseling and a variety of social services. Donations of goods, services and money also are welcome.
