Weather Alert Issued for Anne Arundel County

The National Weather Service says to expect heavy rain from the remnants Tropical Storm Bill.

Anne Arundel County is under a hazardous weather outlook that includes the Maryland portion of the Chesapeake Bay, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening; a few thunderstorms may become severe with locally damaging wind gusts and large hail being the primary threat.

Heavy rain is possible late Saturday and Sunday as the remnants of Tropical Storm Bill pass through the area. Flash flooding is possible during this time, the Weather Service says.
