WEATHER ALERT: Showers, Thunderstorms Expected This Afternoon

Along with the showers, some areas are also at risk for flooding, according to NWS.

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for the Baltimore and Washington D.C. area for Saturday.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the area with locally heavy rain and a small risk of flash flooding. According to the National Weather Service, the greatest risk is in the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas.

In addition, strong winds are possible along with the thunderstorms.

The hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Southern Baltimore, Prince George’s, Anne Arundel and Harford Counties.

The National Weather Service has also issued a coastal flood advisory for Anne Arundel County until 8 p.m.

“A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore,” the NWS writes.
