What's Open, Closed For July 4, 2021, Observation In Anne Arundel
Since the Independence Day holiday falls on a Sunday, some Monday services will be affected.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Because Independence Day falls on a Sunday, it will be observed Monday, July 5, resulting in the closure of county offices and the delay of services until the following day.
County government offices will be closed Monday, as will the court system and the county animal shelter. All Anne Arundel County Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, July 4, and Monday, July 5, for Independence Day.
The North Arundel Aquatic Center located at 7888 Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie will be closed July 4. All parks will be open regular hours. Park hours are listed here. This interactive map shows the parks closest you.

The landfill and recycling centers will be closed Monday and collections will occur Tuesday, then Tuesday collections will be on Wednesday.
The County Connector will run on a modified schedule Sunday and Monday. County buses will not operate Monday.
