Woman Testifies She Paid Cousin $1,000 To Murder Boss
Shontay Hickman, 36, testified against her cousin Wednesday, saying she hired him to kill her boss, a Glen Burnie dentist.
A Baltimore woman testified Wednesday that she paid her cousin $1,000 to kill her boss, a Glen Burnie dentist, in 2006, according to The Capital.
Shontay Joyner Hickman, 36, and received a life sentence. Her cousin, Dante A. Jeter, 25, also is on trial for the murder.
In return for her testimony, the state agreed to modify Hickman's sentence to life with all but 40 years suspended with the possibility of parole, the Capital reported.

Hickman said she hired Jeter to kill her boss to cover up the $17,000 she'd stolen from the dentist.
The trial began Monday with opening statements. In September 2011, with all but 60 years suspended after being found guilty in the 2008 first-degree murder of 25-year-old Tyrone Freeman over a $150 drug debt.
