$2,000 In Change Collected For Milford-Area Veterans
Milford elementary school students helped raise the money to recognize Veterans Day, according to organizers.

MILFORD, MA — A group of Milford elementary school students have helped raise about $2,000 for local veterans recently through a coin drive.
During the "Make Change for Veterans" campaign, students at Woodland, Brookside and Memorial elementary schools were sent home with small plastic bags. The students filled the bags with spare change and returned them to their teachers.
In total, students returned some 1,600 bags of coins. The local Rockland Trust branch lent its coin machine for the counting.
