MILFORD, MA — One of the largest Dunkin' franchise owners in the region has made an enormous coffee donation to a local nonprofit that aids military members and their families.

Northern Management Group, which owns five Dunkin' stores in Milford plus more in Natick, Ashland and Holliston, donated 800 pounds of coffee to the charity Thanks To Yanks. The product will be delivered to deployed troops, and military families in need, according to founder Mike Shain.

Thanks To Yanks, is a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families. Shain founded it in 2006, starting off with an annual dinner to recognize the sacrifices of military families and to honor the heroes and victims of the Sept. 11 attacks.
