2 Charged After Shooting At Milford Applebee's

The shooting was followed by a collision along East Main Street, according to police.

MILFORD, MA — Two local men were arrested Thursday night following a shooting incident that began in the parking lot of the Applebee's restaurant along Route 109 in Milford.

The gunfire broke out just before 9 p.m. Thursday as a pickup truck chased a car through the restaurant parking lot, according to police. The pickup then sped off toward downtown Milford. The truck collided with a Subaru near East Main and Prairie streets, causing damage to an Enterprise Rent-A-Car building.

Witnesses told police two men ran north along Prairie Street from the scene of the crash. Police later located two men sitting in a car parked in the woods. Domingos Joao Teixeira Jr., 20, of Douglas, and Robert Pires De Sousa, 20, of Milford, were arrested on charges including attempted assault and battery with a gun, assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening to commit a crime, drug possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy and leaving the scene of an accident.

Milford police said they found marijuana and weapons in the pickup truck that crashed. Another person who was driving a separate vehicle and may have been at the scene of the shooting was found in Hopkinton, according to police.
