The donation will allow the youth center to build a music and media center at the Pearl Street facility.

MILFORD, MA — Christmas came a little early for the Milford Youth Center this year.
Amazon is giving the center a $25,000 donation, officials announced Monday. The gift will allow the youth center to build a music and multipurpose media room at its Pearl Street building.
The gift was announced Monday during a ceremony at the youth center featuring state Rep. Brian Murray, Selectman Tom O'Loughlin, Town Administrator Richard Villani, plus Amazon and youth center employees.

The gift was made specifically by the Milford Amazon facility, the company said, and comes as Amazon plans a major local expansion.
"We are so excited to receive this generous donation to help us see our dream of a music and multipurpose media center finally come to fruition,' Milford Youth Center Director Jennifer Ward said in a statement. "We have worked very hard over the last few years through multiple telethons and grants to raise some of the funds needed, but this donation will really allow us to start breaking ground sooner than we ever expected."
