5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 5

Come out to a benefit concert tonight for a Milford family that lost its home in a fire. Also, make sure you're registered to vote in the June 25 Special Election.

1. There will be a benefit concert tonight for the Wing family of Milford, whose house on Oak Tree Drive burned down in April. . There will also be a special performance by the cast of MPAC's The Sound of Music.  

2. Today, June 5, is the deadline to register to vote for the June 25th Special Election for U.S. Senator. The Town Clerk's office will be open until 8 p.m. Absentee ballots are also available in the clerk's office.

3. Town Administrator Richard Villani shared information with selectmen Monday that seven bids were received to replace the Police Station roof. He recommended selectmen award the contract to Meadows Construction, which came in with the lowest bid: $294,000.
