9 Milford-Area Restaurants That Deserve National Attention
Patch asked Milford residents to suggest local restaurants so good, they should be featured nationally. One local spot was the clear winner.

MILFORD, MA — Over the weekend, Milford Patch asked local readers to suggest local restaurants that are so good they should be recognized beyond the I-495 corridor — perhaps with a visit from Guy Fieri.
Dozens of readers responded to the question suggesting favorite spots in Milford and surrounding towns. But one was the clear winner: Depot Street Tavern.
The restaurant was opened in 2014 by local chef Adam Hicks in the former Crivillo's Crossing restaurant (it closed in 2013) serving American fare from Reuben sandwiches to pasta bolognese. Depot Street has been humming ever since, with diners sometimes waiting in line for breakfast or lunch.

But other local restaurants got multiple mentions too, including Nelly's Sandwich Shop (and pizza, and buffet) and Goodstuff Smokehouse — a relative newcomer opened in 2017 in Blackstone by Milford brothers David Forgit and Kevin Miller.
