BELLINGHAM, MA — The first two cannabis delivery companies in Massachusetts received final approval from the Cannabis Control Commission (CCC) on Tuesday, ushering in a new era in the state's recreational marijuana program.

Bellingham-based Your Green Package and Athol's We Can Deliver will be able to start cannabis courier services as soon as Saturday.

Your Green Package, owned by couple Christopher Fevry and Lourdharry Pauyo, has already hired close to 30 drivers to deliver marijuana from NETA adult-use dispensaries, which are located in Brookline and Northampton.

Customers will be able to order certain marijuana products — with quantity restrictions — similar to ordering food to be delivered.

The CCC approved cannabis courier regulations in November. For the first three years, delivery licenses are only available to social equity and economic empowerment applicants.
