Reason for running: As a charity runner, I believe in supporting local organization who help others in need. I run Boston so that my children have a positive role model and understand what it means to be apart of giving to others. The Boston Marathon has thousands of runners who not only train for 26.2, but fundraise relentlessly for an organization they believe in. It leaves me speechless at times to be apart of something so extraordinary!

Marathon experience: This is my fourth consecutive Boston Marathon.

Training tip: Have a training crew. You’ll need “your people” on those difficult days, with hard/long miles ahead of you... Sandra Lehane and Jocelyn Thibeault both of Milford, running 2018, have been my soul sisters for the past 4 years!

Running tip: Cross Training is very important- boxing out of Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston has given me the stamina and endurance I need to run 26.2. Boston Underground Strength in Waltham keeps me strong & conditioned.

Best music to run to: Something you aren’t afraid to sing aloud, knowing all the words, for those moments you’re in need of a distraction!

Charity: My charity for the past 2 years has been The South Boston Neighborhood House, providing programs to the residence of South Boston, that enable opportunities for growth and support.
