Brush Fire Breaks Out At Milford Rifle Range: FD
Several local towns responded to help put out the fire off of Haven Street on Saturday afternoon.
MILFORD, MA — Firefighters from Milford and several surrounding towns responded to a brush fire in a wooded area off of Cedar Street on Saturday afternoon, according to the fire department.
The fire broke out around 12:15 p.m. in a wooded area near the police rifle range. Off-road firefighting vehicles from Hopkinton and Upton responded to the scene to help fight the fire, according to the department log. Firefighters from Hopedale, Bellingham and Medway also responded to help with the fire.
The fire was estimated to be between 3 to 5 acres, and sent a column of smoke above the area between Route 85 and I-495 west of Echo Lake.

Firefighters put the fire out and cleared the scene by around 3 p.m., according to the department log.
