Church Gets OK To Open In Milford Shopping Plaza

MILFORD, MA — A local church will soon fill a vacant space in a Milford shopping plaza.

Bethany Church wants to move into a 6,500 square-foot space at the Big Lots plaza at 146 South Main St. The church would be located in the rear of the plaza between TJ's Café and Games and the Southside Bar and Grill.

The church will have room for about 100 worshipers, and the rest of the space will be used for offices, according to application materials.

The Planning Board signed off on the use at a June 1 meeting. However, the board members included a provision requiring the church to first paint a dozen parking spaces that were set aside for the Milford Ceramic Tile store.
