Film 'Italian American Baseball Family' Premiers In Milford

Families left Italy for America for a better life; they never dreamed their kids would play baseball to fit in.

MILFORD, MA—In the "Italian American Baseball Family" filmmaker Roberto Angotti shares the captivating story about how Italian Americans "assimilated into popular culture through America’s favorite pastime in his new hour-long Italian American Baseball Family documentary."

The documentary details stories of those Italians who left home between 1880 and 1920 and their kids who ended up playing baseball, something that was completely foreign to them.

The hour-long documentary will premier at Milford High School on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 4-6 p.m., presented by the high school's Global Citizen Program and Milford Junior Sons of Italy.
