Free Coronavirus Testing In Milford This Week
The Board of Health has arranged a one-day testing clinic as free testing options in the area have begun to shrink.

MILFORD, MA — The Milford Board of Health will host a free pop-up coronavirus testing event at Milford High School on Friday for residents, which comes as testing options are shrinking nearby.
Milford has been on the state's list of high-risk communities for weeks, but testing options in the area are limited. There are only two sites in Milford with varying level of access.
A site at the Medway Road CVS offers appointment-only testing through an online portal, but does offer free testing for people without health insurance. A site at Milford Regional Medical Center is open daily by appointment, but people without insurance must call for information about cost.

Nearby, state-sponsored Stop the Spread sites in Marlborough and Framingham have been or will be reduced. Framingham consolidated all Stop the Spread sites into a single testing site last week, and it will be appointment-only through an online portal. A Stop the Spread site in Marlborough is closing on Thursday, and the remaining site run by Marlborough Hospital is only open until Jan. 15.
There are also sites open in Worcester at the downtown Mercantile Center and Quinsigamond Community College.

The pop-up Milford event will run from 3 to 7 p.m. at the high school, 21 West Fountain St., and will be run by Transformative Healthcare Fallon Emergency Medical Services. The testing is for Milford residents only.
Milford Flu Clinic
Apart from the coronavirus event, Milford will also be offering a free flu shot clinic on Dec. 21. The clinic will also be held at Milford High School and will run from 4 to 6 p.m. The clinic was originally supposed to happen on Dec. 16, but was postponed due to the snowstorm.
Anyone attending the clinic should wear short sleeves. The vaccines are for Milford residents only over 6 months old, and no high-dose vaccines will be available.
