JKR New England Receives 2014 Best of Milford Award

Japan Karate-Do Ryobu-Kai New England has been honored with the 2014 Best of Milford Award in the category of Martial Arts School, the local center announced Sunday.

The award, granted by the Milford Award Program, is given to local companies or organizations who have achieved marketing success in their communities and in a specific business category. 

Winners of the program are chosen based on information gathered internally by the MAP and data provide by third parties, according to the recent announcement. 

JKR New England, which is located at 51 Sumner St. in Milford, is part of an international martial arts organization that includes branches in 35 countries. The center focuses on karate to help develop the body, mind and spirit.
