Kevin Hartman Dies After Battle With Cancer at 46

Services are this week for Hartman, who spend countless hours on soccer and softball fields, basketball courts and in dance studios.

Kevin M. Hartman, 46, of Milford, MA, died Saturday (August 13, 2016) at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Sandi T. (Kritzer) Hartman for 21 years and the loving father of Katie Hartman, Emily Hartman and Molly Hartman all of Milford, MA.

Kevin was born in Pompton Plains, NJ, the son of William J. Hartman, Sr. and Joan A. (Schaus) Hartman, of Fayetteville, NY. He was a graduate of Bishop Grimes High School in East Syracuse, NY, Class of 1988, and also a graduate of Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, Class of 1992.

Kevin had been employed for over 25 years for United Parcel Service, Inc. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #25, a member of the Dana-Farber Esophageal Cancer Support Group, and a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Kevin had been a resident of Milford for the past 15 years where he spent countless hours on the soccer and softball fields, basketball courts and in dance studios watching his children participate in their respective activities. He was a devoted and loving husband and father who made his family his first priority. He enjoyed spending his time sailing, biking, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and camping with his family and friends.

Along with his wife, children, and parents, he is survived by his grandfather, John Schaus of NJ; his brother, William J. Hartman, Jr. and his wife Wendy Lombardo of Jamesville, NY; his mother-in-law, Geri Paulsen and her husband Stephen Paulsen of Beavercreek, OH; his father-in-law, the late Jack Kritzer and his wife Angela Kritzer of Brewerton, NY; two brothers-in-law: Brian Kritzer of Westwood, MA and David Kritzer and his wife Kimberly of Atlanta, GA; two sisters-in-law: Chris, wife of Bob Meyer of Brewerton, NY, and Carrie Cutre of Syracuse, NY; and eight nieces & nephews.

His funeral will be held Friday (August 19th) at 9am from the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home, 44 Congress Street, Milford, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church (Upper Church), 7 East Main Street, Milford, MA. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow and a private committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be held Thursday (August 18th) from 5pm to 8pm.
