Latest Milford Weather Forecast: Storm To Drop 7-14 Inches

MILFORD, MA — A winter storm will barrel through Milford Thursday, bringing 8-14 inches of snow, 45 mph wind gusts wind chill values as low as -7.

A winter storm warning is in effect through Thursday night. The snow is expected to start Thursday around 7 a.m. and quickly intensify before noon. Heavy snow will continue through the evening commute. Icing is likely on roads and temperatures will plummet to near zero at night.

This is the National Weather Service winter storm warning in effect from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday:

Locations...Interior Massachusetts and northern Connecticut.

* Hazard Types...Heavy snow.

* Accumulations...Snow accumulation of 7 to 14 inches.

* Timing...Snow will begin between 4 and 6 am Thursday morning.
Snow will then fall heavy at times Thursday afternoon before
tapering off to snow showers toward evening.

* Impacts...Hazardous travel due to snow covered roads and poor
visibilities. Both the morning and afternoon rush hours will be
impacted. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour will be
possible at times along with some blowing and drifting snow.
