Man Took $280K From Milford Youth Football: Worcester DA

Former Milford Youth Football treasurer Gregory Pearl was arraigned Thursday on two charges, prosecutors said.

MILFORD, MA — A town man has been charged after Worcester County prosecutors say he stole about $280,000 from the Milford Youth Football and Cheer Organization.

Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. said in a statement that Gregory Pearl, 49, was arraigned Thursday on charges of larceny over $1,200 by continuous scheme and making false entries in a corporate book with intent to defraud.

Pearl, the Milford Youth Football and Cheer Organization's treasurer between 2013 and 2018, pleaded not guilty during a court hearing Thursday.

The charges stem from a Milford police investigation that began nearly two years ago when Milford Youth Football reported $280,000 missing from an account. Pearl was indicted by a grand jury in December, Early said. He was released after the Thursday hearing on personal recognizance.
