Milford Animal Control Looking For Info On Reported Dog Attack
The Animal Control Officer said an off-leash German Shepard attacked a Maltese on the bike path.
MILFORD, MA — Milford's Animal Control officer is looking for more information from the public after a dog owner reported their Maltese was attacked by a German Shepard on Saturday. The incident reportedly happened on the bike path in town, the 5-pound Maltese was on a leash and the German Shepard was off leash.
Saturday's call logs for the Milford Police Department show the incident reported and the Maltese being taken to the veterinarian with several bites along with the caller reporting a bite mark as well.
The town Animal Control Facebook account posted a call fro information from residents to a town-wide group detailing that the incident happened on the Upper Charles Rail Trail around 1 p.m. near the Stop & Shop intersection.

The post describes the person walking the German Shepard as a Caucasian woman in her 50's or 60's with long blond hair that was pulled up in a bun and wearing loose black pants. The dog was described as a full grown German Shepard with tan and black fur, wearing a red bandanna. The post said the woman and the dog ran off after the attack.
