Milford Delays Trash Pickup Due To Nor'easter

The latest forecast shows up to 12 inches may fall in Milford between Wednesday night and Thursday afternoon.

MILFORD, MA — An approaching nor'easter is already causing cancellations across the region, including in Milford.

The Board of Health on Wednesday announced that Thursday and Friday trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day each due to the storm. If your collection happens Thursday, it will happen on Friday instead, and Friday collection will happen on Saturday, according to the health board.

The impending storm is the first major weekday snow event in more than a year following a snowstorm on Dec. 2, 2019.

According to the National Weather Service, the storm will begin moving into the Milford area around 7 p.m. Wednesday. The snow will accumulate quickly according to forecasts. Milford is right on the line of an area that could see either 8 to 12 inches or 12 to 18 inches.
