Milford Police Hosting Food Donation Drives This Weekend

This weekend, you can help Milford police "fill the cruiser" with donations for a local food pantry.

MILFORD, MA —If you're heading out Thanksgiving food shopping this weekend, keep your eyes out for Milford police cruisers.

The volunteer Milford auxiliary police are hosting "fill the cruiser" food drives across town on Saturday and Sunday ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. All donations will go to the Daily Bread Food Pantry, which serves residents in Milford, Hopedale and Upton.

Auxiliary police will be out at the following shopping centers on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. collecting donations:

  • Stop & Shop, 128 Medway Road
  • Big Y, 7 Medway Road
  • Target, 250 Fortune Boulevard
  • ALDI, 225 East Main St.

The Milford auxiliary force is made up of part-time volunteers who assist police during large events like parades. The auxiliary unit is also in charge of annual Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives.
