Milford Water Ban Extended to Spring

Due to a dry summer and a warm fall, Milford will remain under a Stage IV Total Mandatory Water Conservation Alert

The Milford Water Company will likely keep its highest water-use on residents until the spring due to a dry summer and warm fall.

The Milford Daily News reports that the Stage IV Total Mandatory Water Conservation Alert that was put in place on Oct. 23 will not be lifted in the near future. A State IV ban means outside water use is restricted.

Currently, the Echo Lake Reservoir is at 127 inches below the dam’s spillway, the lowest since it was 149 inches below the spillway in 2001.
