Milford Youth Football Congratulates Athletes Competing at Nationals

On November 19, 2016, at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, our Milford U10 Cheer squad competed against 11 other squads from across the New England Region to earn a top three placement - which qualifies them to move on to the National competition in Orlando, FL on December 9-10th.

The U10 cheerleaders range in age from 8-10 years old and consists of Anekah Giacomuzzi, Arizona McBride, Emma Canning, and are coached by Kate Ferreira, Kim Fontes. The athletes are fundraising for this memorable trip, with the chance to bring home a National trophy, in multiple ways:

• Look for the cheerleaders canning outside of local establishments throughout town during the weekends; including Dunkin Donuts, Honey Dew Donuts, Purchase Street Market, Liquor World…
• The cheerleaders (and football players?) will also be participating in the Milford Santa Parade, hosted by our Milford Fire Department, on Sunday, December 4th requesting donations to help with their trip to Nationals.
• To securely donate online, please visit online to purchase a raffle ticket for $10 each with a chance to win every day of the month of January!
• Finally, a fundraiser will be held at Dairy Queen on Route 140 in Milford on Thursday, December 1st from 5-8pm. 10% of all sales will benefit our 2016 athletes competing in Nationals.
