New Seafood Restaurant Coming To Milford

MILFORD, MA — A new Mexican restaurant specializing in seafood will open soon in Milford. Mariscos Lagunas was approved for its operating license Monday night during the Board of Selectmen meeting.

On Monday, owner Mariana Felipe told the Selectmen that she came to the Milford area from Chicago, where she had worked in her parents' restaurant for over a decade. Her Milford restaurant will serve items like Mexican-style shrimp cocktail, mussels, and seafood soup.

"It'll probably be one-of-a-kind in Massachusetts," she told the Selectmen.

Mariscos Lagunas will be located at the shopping plaza at 206 East Main St. An opening date has not been announced yet.
