Police Log: Truck Crashes Into Live Wires, Girlfriend Vandalizes Cars

The following information was provided by the Milford Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, May 30

1:12 p.m.: A caller reported a crash near Milford High School; a truck reportedly struck a pole with live wires. The Fire Department responded as the truck was by live wires and could not be removed immediately. Verizon was notified. There were no injuries.

2:39 p.m.: A caller reported damage to his vehicle due to a carriage in the KMart parking lot.

5:12 p.m.: Multiple calls reported a crash near the 495 ramp; heavy damage was reported to three cars. The Fire Department requested two ambulances and a tow for one car.

6:21 p.m.: A person went to the Police Department to file a larceny report for a flute stolen from Milford High School. The reporting party later said the school called her and the flute had been found.

7:19 p.m.: Police spoke to two operators of mopeds in the area of High and West Spruce streets. The operators were told to walk the vehicles home.

9:44 p.m.: A caller reported four small children that were left alone at an apartment on Alfred Road. One child was playing in the parking lot and one was on the balcony. Police filed a report.

10:22 p.m.: Police responded to a domestic on Broad Street. A man told them his girlfriend was physically abusive and vandalized both of his vehicles. Marie Jacquot Ashley, 24, of 14 Henrys Path, Upton, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property over $250.
