Providence Man Charged After Milford Fentanyl Sale: DA

MILFORD, MA — Police have arrested and charged a 22-year-old Providence man in connection to a local fentanyl-dealing investigation, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office announced Friday.

Willie Washington was arrested this week after he sold fentanyl to an undercover federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agent, the DA's office said.

After Washington was arrested, police searched his apartment along Mowry Street in Providence and seized drugs and four guns, prosecutors said.

Washington was charged with drug trafficking and was being held on $25,000 bail. He's due in court on Dec. 21.

The investigation was handled by the ATF, Milford police, the DA's office and state police.
