St. Pat's Celebration Isn't Over Yet: Irish Band At Milford Library

Milford welcomes The Moonlights.

MILFORD, MA — The celebration continues in Milford.

The vibrant traditional group The Moonlights is playing a free show at the Milford Public Library on Thursday, March 24, at 7 p.m.

The band focuses on the music of the Southwest of Ireland, returning to their roots on their first album On "The Quiet."

The band, which includes founding member Eoin McQuinn (bodhran, guitar, vocals), a native of Castleisland, County Kerry and Limerick born musician Frank Woulfe (concertina), play a selection of jigs and reels that can be heard throughout the length and breadth of Ireland, according to the announcement, and a few select song (some in the Irish language) that best express the sentiment of The Moonlighters.

A guaranteed Celtic treat for the ears (and legs, if you feel like dancing).
