Thanks To Yanks Hosts Donation Drive For Homeless Veterans
Thanks To Yanks, a non-political organization whose mission is to support the military community, hosted their annual Hope for Heroes drive.

MILFORD, MA, – Thanks To Yanks would like to thank the community for helping to support the annual Hope for Heroes Donation Drive, which collected items for homeless veterans residing at various Massachusetts Veteran shelters. Over 200 boxes/bags of donated items were collected including new sheets, blankets, towels, socks, underwear, toiletries, gift cards along with some gently used men’s/women’s clothing. Each of the six Veteran shelters had their specific request for needed items that we can accommodate.

- community volunteers
- DCH Toyota Milford, who hosted a donation drop off.
- Milford Federal, who hosted a donation drop off.
- Woodland Elementary School, who contributed donations. Including Assistant Principal, Mrs. Lisa Kingkade, who helped spread the word out to families and educate the student body in the meaning of Veterans Day.
- Woodland Elementary PTO, including Ms. Erica Reilly, who helped to promote the drive.
- Milford Girl Scout Junior Troop 30570, who sorted/separated all donated items.
- Brookside Elementary, who supported with a coin drive.

Thanks To Yanks, is a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families. Founded in 2006 as a onetime 9/11 Tribute Dinner to recognize the sacrifices military families endured in response to the attacks.
