"I live not too far from where the accident took place on Congress Street that took the life of Jackie Gray," said friend Alicia White. "I really wanted to keep this GoFundMe page for the family moving and because the week of and the week after there was so much in the media about the incidents for the Dallas Shootings during the Black Lives Matter, along with the two other incidents that happened prior to that. It's been awful to imagine that a local family lost a child so tragically and we just couldn't get the word out like we wanted to for the GoFundMe Page.
Now, a bench has been ordered in Gray's memory, with more than $2,000 raised in funds to support the purchase.

"Driving by the accident scene everyday reminds me and my boys that life is too short," said White. "I would love to see the community continue to rally around this family as Jackie's mother Sandy helps our children each day as the school nurse at the Brookside School."
