Video: Milford Armed Robbery Leads To Crash; Suspects At-Large

Milford police said three men with guns robbed Jay's Smoke Shop on Sunday night.

MILFORD, MA — Milford police are searching for three men who they say robbed a Medway Road smoke shop Sunday night, and then ran from the scene of a car crash.

The robbery happened around 8 p.m. at Jay's Smoke Shop in the Big Y shopping plaza. Two men carrying guns entered the store and then demanded the clerk hand over cash. Then men then got into a car waiting outside the store and drove off.

A Milford officer was nearby and saw the car driving with its lights off. The officer then watched as the driver ran a red light at near Birch Street, and then collided with another vehicle in the intersection. The driver of the vehicle the suspects collided with was injured and taken to Milford Hospital for treatment.

Three men got out of the car and ran from the crash scene, police said. Milford police along with state police and officers from Uxbridge, Hopkinton, Medway and Holliston searched for the men for several hours, but did not make any arrests.

Police said one of the suspects was about 6 feet tall and was wearing a dark hoodie and dark pant with a white emblem. The other suspect is 5'5" tall and was wearing dark pants, a dark hat and a white or gray hooded sweatshirt.
