3 Wingstop Stores To Open In NJ By 2021, Including Freehold Site

FREEHOLD, NJ – Chicken lovers, rejoice.

Wingstop, the Dallas-based “wing experts” is opening three new Monmouth County locations, with anticipated openings to begin in the next few months.

The chicken wing specialists will open a Neptune City Shopping Center location on Route 35, set to replace the GameSpot store at 116 3rd Ave. Chris Rigassio, partner and chief executive officer of Prospect Capital Restaurants, told the Asbury Park Press that the first location is scheduled to open in mid-December.

Two other locations on West Main Street in Freehold Township and Route 35 in Aberdeen are also in the works. While an anticipated reopening date was not immediately available, both are expected to open in the first quarter of 2021.

A representative from Wingstop was not immediately available for further comment.

Wingstop currently has 15 locations in New Jersey, including Edison, Woodbridge and New Brunswick.
