Hazlet Library Closure Extended Until July 16, A/C Issues Persist

HAZLET, NJ - The Hazlet Library, now closed for nearly two weeks, is expected to be closed until July 16, officials said.

The Middle Road location has been closed since June due to air conditioning issues amid the near record-setting heat wave that boiled New Jersey into July.

In a July 9 municipal update, officials noted that the township is awaiting necessary parts to repair the building’s air conditioning unit.

“Please know all materials have been ordered,” the notice reads.

The book drop is also closed until at least July 16. Fines will not be assessed on items due during the closure and patrons are asked to hold onto their items until the library reopens.
